Policy on Babies and Children in the Arts Centre
1. Ticketing for Babies and Children:
- For most events, children under the age of 12 do not require a ticket; however, they must sit on a parent’s or guardian’s lap and cannot occupy their own seat.
- Children aged 13 and above require a ticket for entry to most events.
- Certain events, particularly those designed for children, may require all children aged one and above to have a ticket. Please check the event’s page on our website for specific ticketing requirements.
2. Suitability of Events:
- Some events at the Arts Centre may not be suitable for young children. We strongly recommend reviewing event details and age recommendations prior to purchasing tickets.
3. Health and Safety Considerations:
- While attending events, especially those with high sound levels (e.g., movies, live music, theatre), we advise parents to take precautions such as sitting away from speakers and considering hearing protection for young children and babies.
- Prolonged exposure to high sound levels (e.g., 90 dB or higher) can lead to hearing loss over time. Events that may exceed these levels should be carefully considered for infants and small children.
4. Supervision of Children:
- Children aged 15 years and under must be supervised at all times.
- Supervising adults must remain seated next to the children they are responsible for throughout the event.
- The Arts Centre Management reserves the right to ask parents or supervisors to remove children from the venue if they are causing a disturbance.
5. Additional Guidelines:
- For specific information regarding age suitability and ticketing policies, please refer to the event page on our website or contact our box office.
This policy is designed to ensure the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of all guests attending events at the FunHaus Arts Centre.
