“FUN HAUS @ THE PARK HAUS”

11 JAN – 24 FEB @ The Park House, Kibble Park

 

Its a Gorgeous Gosford Summer Takeover as we park our virtual caravan at the Parkhouse in Kibble park for live music, workshops from Burlesuque to crafty good stuff like felting and macrame! There is fun for allages with School holiday action as well as all ages free community haircuts!

 

JANUARY

 

11 Jan, 10am-3pm – FREE: Baby Drag Things: Youth Drag Workshop for 12-24 year olds. Calling all emerging Queens, Kings and Things! Learn the art of drag with YAAS! Youth worker and Drag King Carlee aka Tom Foolery. Create a Drag character, play with costumes, makeup and perfect your lip syncing. Get ready to SLAY!
12 JAN, 6pm-10pm – ThursGay our travelling social club pops up at the Parkhouse in Kibble Park this month! With a revolving door of live DJs, drag, music and live performance. Cheap drinks and dinner options available. Book a table on the deck!
17 Jan, 10am-12pm – Rainbow Heart Garland – Come along and learn the fun and easy craft of needle felting as you make a super-cute heart garland from unspun wool. We’ll supply all the craft materials as well as snacks.no experience needed. Ages 13+. Everyone welcome.
18 Jan, 10am-3pm – FREE Teen Mental Health First Aid. Spend the day nurturing your own mental health and learning how to support your friends. For 12-17 year old LGBTQIA+ Young People, friends and allies. Get Certified! All participants will receive a Mental Health First Aid qualification. Lunch provided
24 Jan, 9:30am-12:30pm – Macrame Rainbows Workshop – Come along and learn how to make a rainbow from macrame cord in your choice of colours – rainbow, trans, pan, non-binary, ace, or bi. We’ll supply all the craft materials as well as snacks. No experience needed. Ages 13+.
9 Jan – 24 Feb – Coastal Twist Festival float build is a part of the Official World Pride 2023 Mardi Gras Parade! Come participate as we make our costumes, build our float and rehearse all Jan & Feb at the Parkhaus. We would love for you to join us, all ages and abilities welcome.  Must be a registered Mardi Gras Float Participant

 

FEBRUARY

  2 Feb, 5:30-7:30pm – PFLAG Wine and Nibbles. An evening for Parents and Carers of LGBTQIA+ Children & Young People. A friendly and relaxed way to meet and mingle with other families of LGBTIQA+ youth. Lets find our local community.

12 Feb – 10am – 12pm – Nia Movement/Dance Playshop – Come home to your body! Blending 9 movement forms from the dance, healing and martial arts, Nia is a holistic fun workout that energises your body, ignites your mind and inspires your spirit.
16 Feb, 5:30 – 8:30pm – BEGINNER BURLESQUE FOR BODIES – Join us for a 1.5 hour introductory workshop to the sparkly and fun world of burlesque! An inclusive workshop for anyone who wants to get in touch with their body and gain personal empowerment through dancing to the beat of your own drum. Class will cover moves and grooves to open up your sensual side!
22 Feb, Free Hair Cuts with the Community Hair Project. Our community is doing it tough right now & we want to ensure you’re feeling just that little bit better with some FREE pampering. Get a haircut in a safe space. Very limited appointments, book in now.
