Musical performances by Mary Kiani, with Ralph Marshall on keys. Presented by the FunHaus Factory in Gosford.

Mary Kiani well known as the Scottish Songbird is one of Scotland’s greatest exports of Song! She has had many international hits in the dance and pop music genre throughout the 90’s in her homeland of Scotland, the British Isles, Europe and Australia.

Mary is a true talent. Wwith a big voice and bucket loads of charisma. Hence her loyal fan base around the world, through her many releases and tours. Crowned Mary Queen of Scots in 1995 by the readers of top UK dance Magazine M8. Mary was recognised by the International Dance Awards with a nomination for Best Female Vocalist preceding another massive club hit with 100 % and another Top 20 Chart placing.

Mary’s solo album, Long Hard Funky Dreams through Mercury Records, produced four top 40 hits in the UK and many Huge Dance Anthem hits all over the world. The success of Mary’s double ‘A’ side single ‘I IMAGINE’ was great enough to turn Mary into a Sydney scene celebrity. She has been a mainstay of dance parties and nightclubs ever since.

Mary made her mark in the music scene through various avenues. Initially, she gained prominence as the lead singer for the dance music group The Time Frequency (TTF) during the early 1990s. Her captivating voice contributed to the success of TTF’s hit songs. Prior to her time with TTF, Mary had a noteworthy career as a session and backing vocalist. Additionally, she had the privilege of touring alongside renowned artists like Donny Osmond, John Reid, The Nightcrawlers (known for “Push the Feeling On”), Paul Young, Hue & Cry, China Crisis, and even lent her vocals to The Simpsons’ Yellow Album. Notably, she even had the honor of supporting the legendary ‘PRINCE’ during his UK tour.


Ralph Marshall Bass/Keys/Vocals

Ralph Marshall has performed and recorded in Australia, and overseas for various well known acts. He has held both supportive and directing roles for: Human Nature, Todd McKenney, Marcia Hines, Christine Anu, Casey Donovan, David Campbell, Chris Sebastion, Paulini Curuenavuli, 1927, to name a few. He also has shared the stage with Janet Jackson, Boyz2Men, Celine Dion, Elton John, C&C Music Factory, Dolly Parton amongst many others.
